Roman Blinds

Roman blinds are a stylish alternative to curtains, giving a sophisticated uncluttered feel. Poles and blinds.com offer a host of fabrics in a wide range of colours, pattered designs and textures suiting most interior design requirements. All of our roman blinds are fully lined with the option of blackout linings available on selected ranges.
These blinds have the choice of two raise and lower control methods. The first is a standard cord operated pull system which is tied off around a cleat which is fixed to the wall or window frame. The second is a luxury sidewinder mechanism. They are flat panels when let down and pleat up in soft even horizontal folds, one on top of the other when raised up. The blind has a number of horizontal slats that contain rods which keep the fabric flat and to which is attached the cording system which is part of the raise and lower mechanism.

Stylish Window Dressing

A Roman blind is an attractive window blind to use if you have a decorative window frame such as you may find in a Victorian house, which you may wish to leave as a feature of the room. Alternatively, they are just as well suited to a bedroom, bathroom or hallway adding a simple and effective way to dress a window. They can be fitted inside or across the front of the window recess and are just as effective when used as the only window treatment or when combined with curtains or pelmets which gives the window a sense of depth and grandeur.
